She's So Lonely

Mrs. Thompson goes to wake the children.

It’s Tuesday morning and it’s time to start the day.

She cooks some eggs and brews a pot of coffee,

but her husband’s late and he has no time to stay.

Surrounded by family, friends and neighbors, but she’s lonely.

She’s got mountains of money, a black Mercedes, but she’s empty.

Now they’ve all gone off. She’s left to clear the table.

There’s the morning paper laying on the chair.

She picks it up and searches through the want ads,

but what she’s looking for is never there.

Surrounded by family, friends and neighbors, but she’s lonely.

She’s got mountains of money, a black Mercedes, but she’s empty.

Can you hear Him? Are you listening?

He’s knockin’ on the door. Will you open up your eyes?

Do you see Him?

You got to open up your heart and let Him come in.

He’s knock, knock, knockin’ on your door.

Are you tired of living your life on your own?

Though friends may be around, you’re still alone.

Vainly you search for the something that will change your life.

The answer that you need you’ve thrown aside.

So why can’t you see Jesus Christ?

So why can’t you see, can’t you see…
