We can't believe it... After seven years we are finally finished recording! We are trying to decide if we will do our own mastering. The up side would be, it will allow us to have complete control over the finished product. The bad news is, this will likely take a long time. However, it's not like we ever get in a hurry. It's exciting that Dan has started laying out the artwork for the cover, inserts, etc. with our Art Director. He's also looking into how we're going to actually publish all this.

The artwork is coming along nicely. It looks like that will be done well before the audio tracks. Mark spent most of Spring Break (well... all) mastering one song. It came out pretty good. Now we are hoping the mastering techniques from that one song can be somewhat universally applied to all the others. Hoping to finish them all by end of Summer.

Mastering continues. Three songs are complete and they sound like... well, like they go together. That was the goal. It appears that a "process" for consistently mastering has emerged after all, and now it's just a matter of finding the time to finish the rest. We purchased our own web domain this month! WWW.WOJBAND.COM We always planned to maintain a presence on the internet, so it will be nice to be in total control of a domain.

We are really getting close now. Only one more song to be mastered. None of our friends believe it when we say this. That's OK. We can live with low expectations.
August 2007
Mastering is complete. Well... almost. Every individual song is complete, but we are still wrestling with the track order and CD layout. We've been through three prototypes for the track order and levels. Hopefully, we'll all agree on a final version soon. The good news is, our art director says we're done with all the cover design, artwork, etc.

We should write this date down somewhere. Mastering is done! At this point the CD itself is ready for publishing. Now we just have to decide on what company we're using for CD publishing (that we can afford), and probably a bunch of other stuff we haven't thought of yet. Maybe by Thanksgiving?
